My Role
- Built the responsive site in Next.js, implementing the services, portfolio and company-information surfaces from design files
- Integrated the site's content through GraphQL
- Optimized images, assets and frontend code for load time and search visibility
- Worked alongside designers and backend developers through delivery rather than picking the frontend up at the end
- Debugged and resolved UI issues through the build
Challenge
Client-facing sites need to load fast, rank well and match design intent precisely, all on a compressed delivery timeline typical of agency client work.
- Matching design fidelity closely while keeping the build performant
- Working against a GraphQL API shared across frontend and content needs
Approach
- Worked closely with design and backend throughout, rather than treating frontend as a downstream step in the process.

- Built the site's component library and page templates in Next.js
- Integrated and optimized GraphQL queries powering page content
- Applied image optimization and performance tuning consistent with JAMstack best practices
- Implemented core SEO fundamentals for a client-facing marketing site
